About Us
AFDAN, a local NGO established in July 2019 by a group of Somali intellectuals, emerged in response to the escalating insecurity, famine, and loss of life in Somalia. Non-profit and non-political, AFDAN is steadfast in its commitment to enhance the well-being of the Somali community through education, humanitarian aid, and development programs.
Collaborating closely with local communities, institutions, and individuals in need across Somalia, AFDAN has undertaken a range of initiatives aimed at fostering positive change. These include conducting Human Rights Monitoring activities and implementing intervention programs such as food distribution, as well as the construction of shelters and schools to ensure access to basic education for all.
Throughout its existence, AFDAN has remained dedicated to serving the needs of the Somali people and addressing the challenges they face with compassion and effectiveness.
