Community Mobilization

AFDAN, in collaboration with UN agencies, SIDA, and WFP, undertook a project focused on community mobilization and joint assessment in the IDP camps of Domey, Barwaaqo, Nasteexo, and Najax.

The initiative aims to comprehensively evaluate the needs of internally displaced persons (IDPs) in these camps and provide targeted support to enhance their living conditions. This involved detailed assessments of essential areas such as food security, shelter, health, and sanitation.

By actively involving community members in the assessment process, the initiative ensures that the voices and needs of the displaced populations are heard and addressed effectively. The findings from this joint assessment will guide the development and implementation of tailored intervention programs.
