In a concerted effort to address the pressing needs of internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Central Somalia, AFDAN spearheaded a crucial initiative to provide Non-Food Items (NFIs) to 200 households residing in Mogadishu. 

The distribution included a comprehensive package tailored to meet the specific requirements of the beneficiaries, comprising 200 household NFI kits, 29 environmentally-friendly sanitation solutions, 10 emergency shelter kits (ESKs), and 25 fabricated drums for water storage. This strategic allocation of resources not only addressed immediate hygiene needs but also aimed to promote sustainable environmental practices and bolster emergency preparedness among IDP populations.

This initiative shows AFDAN’s dedication to humanitarian action and underscores its pivotal role in facilitating access to essential services for displaced populations in the region.
