The African Development Action Network (AFDAN) launched an iftar program for disadvantaged peoples in the city of Beled Weyn. The program was aimed at low-income families started in Doomey IDP Camp and has benefited more than 110 people, including the elderly, the disabled and those with low income.
AFDAN plans to sustain this iftar program throughout the month of Ramadan, ensuring continued assistance to the vulnerable segments of the community.
This initiative not only addresses immediate nutritional needs but also underscores AFDAN’s commitment to social welfare and inclusivity, aiming to alleviate the hardships faced by marginalized groups during the holy month.
By providing essential sustenance during iftar, AFDAN endeavors to promote a sense of solidarity and compassion within the community, fostering a spirit of support and empathy among its members. Through such endeavors, AFDAN endeavors to uplift the disadvantaged, affirming its dedication to humanitarian values and the betterment of society as a whole.
